2023 Primary Information

In person voting will be available throughout Carmel from 6:00am through 6:00pm on 

May 2, 2023. Any voter who is properly registered prior to Monday, April 3, 2023 is eligible to vote on Election Day. 

To find your polling site, visit www.indianavoters.com and click "Find Your Polling Place". Information about polling sites should be available after April 1.

Any voter registered in Hamilton County can vote early in-person. 

No application is necessary.

Bring your ID (Indiana Driver’s License, Indiana State ID, U.S. Passport, or U.S. Military ID)

In-person early voting will be available at 2 locations in Carmel:

Hours:

Wednesday and Thursday, April 19 & 20 from 2 pm to 7 pm 

Friday and Saturday, April 21 & 22 from 10 am to 3 pm

Wednesday and Thursday, April 26 & 27 from 2 pm to 7 pm

Friday and Saturday, April 28 & 29 from 10 am to 3 pm

Hamilton County voters can vote absentee-by-mail if they meet one of the requirements below:

• Reasonable expectation of being absent from the county on election day during the entire 12 hours that the polls are open
• Confined to residence, health care facility, or a hospital due to illness or injury
• Caring for an individual confined to a private residence due to illness or injury 
• Voter with disabilities
• Voter at least 65 years of age
• Official election duties outside of my voting precinct
• Scheduled to work during the entire 12 hours that polls are open
• Unable to vote at polls in person due to religious holiday
• Eligible to vote under the "fail-safe" procedures in 3-10-11 or 3-10-12
• Member of the Indiana National Guard deployed or on assignment in Indiana or a public safety officer
• Serious sex offender
• Prevented from voting due to the unavailability of transportation to polls

Voters can apply to vote via mail-in absentee ballot using the online application found at www.IndianaVoters.com.
